Day 2- "Delegates of SSICsim"

Welcome to our second featurette of "Delegates of SSICsim" for Day 2 of SSICsim! Take a look at what some of our stellar delegates had to say about their experience at SSICsim so far.

***Note: they may be speaking from the perspective of their respective character in their committee

Bella & Lavani, Civil War: Panem Bella (left): "The most exciting part for me is probably getting to know people especially since we’re from Calgary. It’s fun to make friendships that last. What I’m taking away is not to be scared and to stand up and speak because you can just share your opinions and everyone’s super nice so it’s a great experience." Lavani (right): "I think the most exciting thing about MUN is just seeing all the directives get approved and that we’re making a difference.  What I hope to take away from this experience is all the skills you learn in MUN like leadership and cooperating with peers."

Matthew, Nixon Administration "I liked how you can go unscripted all you want because we had a problem with protestors so I proposed to put sprinklers on and I thought the idea might have been too silly but it actually got approved and semi- worked.  Additionally, I did not know what a personal directive was yesterday but George W. Bush, who was sitting next to me, helped me figure that out so it’s really cool."

Thomas, Civil War: Panem "The most interesting thing that has happened to me so far is that a traitor captured my wife and held her hostage and nobody seems to care! And nobody’s doing anything! So I changed districts and my own logistics."
