The University of Toronto hosts SSICSIM’s annual conference and offers an inviting academic environment for delegates!

Founded in 1827 as King’s College, the University of Toronto (U of T) is Canada’s top public research university. U of T comprises of three campuses and the largest student body in Canada. The university is known for their incredibly high caliber of education, and their academic, cultural and co-curricular diversity. Famous U of T alumni include: Adrienne Clarkson; Margaret Atwood; William Lyon Mackenzie King; Lester B. Pearson; Paul Martin; Frederick Banting; Margaret Macmillan; Ted Rogers; Atom Egoyan; and David Cronenburg.

In the second annual U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities ranking released on October 5th, 2015, U of T was named as Canada's top university and scored 16th overall in the world, not far behind institutions like Harvard, MIT, Stanford and Oxford.

Housed in the heart of Toronto, one of the most dynamic and diverse cites in world, the St. George campus is a vibrant and engaging space for students and faculty alike. The St. George campus comprises of seven colleges, based on the Oxford model, each offering unique academic and social opportunities. Additionally, this campus is home to, among other things, the universities: Faculty of Arts & Science; Faculty of Law; Faculty of Medicine; and, Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering.
